The Area Sales Engineer for Denmark & Finland is a remotely based position and you may be located in either Denmark or Southern Sweden.
An exciting opportunity has opened within our Industrial Air Filtration division for an Area Sales Engineer covering Denmark & Finland.

Job Purpose:
The purpose of the role is to sell dust filtration systems and equipment successfully through OEMs, re-sellers, and end users. To be successful in this position, you will be a self-motivated and target-driven individual with proven sales experience. Along with a strong commercial awareness and excellent communication skills, you will have a competitive desire and drive to succeed and gain results.
This role would be a great opportunity for an outgoing, proactive, and driven person to enter a growing market for Donaldson, with all the necessary support from the team and other colleagues in EMEA. There is potential for growth in this role and the possibility to put your own mark on it.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure sales and gross profit targets are achieved and exceeded.
  • Maintain and develop strong customer relationships, ensuring customer inquiries are dealt with efficiently as well as developing and maintaining effective relationships with OEM’s re-sellers and end users.
  • You will be responsible for new business development in the area including aftermarket/service.
  • Increase and maintain awareness of local market conditions including market mapping to support in identifying new key customers.
  • Strong focus on generating new business.
  • Desire to identify and understand end-user application needs.
  • Utilize the current Donaldson network to open new revenue streams with existing accounts.
  • You are capable to prepare and present sales presentations.
  • Ensure that all commercial aspects of sales transactions are in the best interest of the company.
Your Profile:
The successful Area Sales Engineer - Denmark & Finland must be self-motivated and a target-driven individual, with proven sales experience. A proven self-starter with the confidence and entrepreneurial flair to work in an autonomous role.
  • Mechanical Engineering background, Technical Degree or relevant experience with dust & fume control.
  • Minimum 5 years experience with dust, fume and oil mist equipment and systems or related products.
  • Driven to provide a high level of customer service and build strong working relationships.
  • Knowledge of air movement and ducted systems would be an advantage.
  • Experience in reading, interpreting and understanding technical drawings.
  • IT Literate specifically in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Preferably to have previous experience in supporting a sales team and maintaining a CRM system.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - English & Danish fluent.
  • You are required to have a valid driving license to enable you to attend customer sites and support the sales team.
