Position Description
Due to the strong growth in Marine Sales and the change in pruduct mix towards Yacht Applications and Marine Commercial, we need to empower the Sales Team with a Marine Technical Sales Representative. This position reports to the Marine Sales Manager. In this key role, he/she will be responsible for supporting and growing current OEM accounts by providing a high level of customer service that exceeds expectations, develop new customers and projects both in Marine Leisure and Marine Commercial segments thanks to a good technical knowledge, passion and commercial approach towards customers.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maximize engine sales for marine Leisure and Commercial.
- Support the Sales Manager Marine with offering to OEMs, follow up with customers quotations, offer new products trough complex and integraated configurations.
- Compare the price levels to direct accounts and through VPCenters, build reports and statistics driving the right price levels.
- Manage the relationships with OEMs, respond to their request and manage the Engines configurations timewise
- Reach the different sales targets given
- Perform Market Analysis
- Responsible of Engines Sales forecast tool
- Cooperate with the application engineers in oder to define right propulsion configurations
- Pursue new OEM business opportunities for Volvo Penta Marine products.
- Be the Internal reference for assigned OEMS and VPCs
- Facilitate and manage interfaces between Volvo Penta and the customer to ensure the customer satisfaction is achieved.
- Drive to attain Volvo Penta business objectives and initiatives
- Facilitate involving the appropriate Volvo Penta resources in developing and winning new business.
- Be the internal interface with Business Support in a “Internal Customer” approach (Logistic, Credit Limit etc..)
- Organize product and systems training for assigned accounts.
- Investigate OEM, distributor, dealer and/or end user product concerns and generate appropriate corrective action expeditiously.
- Actively participate in trade shows and other industry events as required.
- Perform other duties, tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
- Self-starter – works with minimal supervision.
- High energy level, comfortable performing multiple assignments in conjunction with day to day activities.
- Strong background and graduation in Mechanical or Nautical engineering.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Power Point, Excel, etc.).
- Team Working
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- English Fluent
