Job Description

The purpose of the Graphic Design position for Zooplus is:

  • $ads={1}

    Coordinating and collaborating with all stakeholders & colleagues within and outside the team
  • Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for corporate-, online- and print purposes
  • Ownership, management and supervision of projects including time management
  • Collaboration with the entire team in extensive design projects
  • Deep knowledge of brand style and guidelines & support in definition of further development
  • Finding the right balance between the brief and technical limitations, coming up with the best solutions and ideas
  • Deep knowledge of the whole print DTP process (prepress, imposition, colour proof)
  • Very good knowledge and understanding of typographical rules, feeling comfortable in working with more complex InDesign files (eg. with parent pages, character/paragraph styles, text variables)
  • Advanced knowledge of InDesign and Acrobat Pro, ability to review and approve the final file for print
  • Good understanding of colour management, using proper ICC colour profile
  • Good knowledge and ability to apply various print finishing techniques (pantone spot colours, varnish, foils, hotstamping etc.)
  • Experience in print product production (packaging, mugs, t-shirts, bags, etc.) using different print techniques (ex. flexo, engraving) and working with die cuts
  • Good knowledge of direct-mailing, experience in working with personalized mailings


Qualifications

  • Successfully completed a Graphic or Media Design education or a comparable, ideally completed, education
  • At least 3 years of experience as a graphic designer in a related field
  • Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio
  • Fluent English
  • Very good user knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator and ideally more)
  • Support in updating systems and/or software /such as JIRA, Wiki, Conteful, Sharepoint, etc)
  • High internet affinity and knowledge over new development in the area of online design
  • Deep knowledge of graphic design, styles and layout techniques
  • A strong eye for visual composition
  • Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Able to give and receive constructive criticism
  • Understanding of marketing, online design, corporate identity, advertisements (online & print), product packaging and multimedia design
  • A talent for creativity and finding solutions, attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel and personal interaction with all team members
