Anglo American Steelmaking Coal
Our Safety, Health and Enterprise Risk team’s objective is simple - for everyone to go home safe and well, everyday.
Steelmaking coal is an essential ingredient in blast-furnace steel manufacture, producing steel used for critical building and infrastructure around the world. In Australia, we operate five steelmaking coal mines in Queensland’s Bowen Basin, and have additional joint venture interests in steelmaking coal and manganese, as well as copper exploration projects underway in North West Queensland and Western Australia.
Job Description
-Grosvenor Mine has a new opportunity for a professional and energetic Administrator to join the Safety, Health and Environment Department. Based in Moranbah, QLD, you will play an essential role in maintaining the safety and health management system.
Reporting to the Safety Superintendent, you will be required to provide internal client services to key stakeholders coupled with core safety support to drive the team’s key performance indicators;
- Provide services and administration to drive the delivery of the mine’s health and safety performance targets.
- Work closely with front line leaders to provide advice in all aspects of health and safety
- Encourage a proactive safety leadership culture at Grosvenor Mine.
- Enter all Hazards and Incidents for site, including supporting action plans, into the relevant database
- Conduct quality review of all Hazards and Incidents entered in the relevant database
- Upload of action plans into Isometrix from S&H process
- Independently complete other general administration duties as assigned by the Safety and Health Manager.
Qualifications
-To be successful in this role ideally you will have:
- Existing experience in an administration or similar role
- Previous Safety experience within mining operations (preferably Coal)
- Tertiary Qualifications in Safety (or a related discipline) desirable
- You will have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage conflicting tasks in a timely manner.
- Professional approach and high level of interpersonal communication skills will be instrumental in your success in this role.
- Experience in the use of SAP and Isometrix – highly desirable
- Ability to understand functionality of business systems and extract relevant data for business purposes
